Grace and the Purple Kindness

Every small act of kindness plants a seed of happiness that grows in the world.

Grace lived with Dadda and her puppy Coco. They were a happy family of three. Grace loved the color purple most of all.

Grace vivía con Dadda y su cachorrita Coco. Eran una familia feliz de tres. Grace amaba el color morado más que nada.

One morning, Grace saw Mrs. Chen next door. Mrs. Chen looked sad and tired. Her garden was full of weeds.

Una mañana, Grace vio a la Sra. Chen al lado. La Sra. Chen se veía triste y cansada. Su jardín estaba lleno de maleza.

Grace ran to Dadda in the kitchen. "Mrs. Chen needs help," she said. "Can we do something kind?"

Dadda smiled and hugged Grace. "Kindness is always a good idea," he said. "What do you want to do?"

Grace thought hard. Then her face lit up. "We can pick flowers for her!"

Grace and Dadda went to their garden. Grace picked the prettiest purple flowers. Coco wagged her tail and watched.

Grace also drew a picture with purple crayons. She drew a big happy sun. "Mrs. Chen will smile," Grace said.

Dadda helped Grace make a card. "You have a kind heart," Dadda told her. Grace felt warm and proud inside.

Grace walked next door with Coco. Her hands held the flowers and card. Her heart beat fast with excitement.

Mrs. Chen opened the door. Grace gave her the flowers and card. "These are for you," Grace said softly.

Mrs. Chen smiled a big, beautiful smile. "Thank you, Grace! You made my day bright." Grace felt happy all over.

That night, Dadda tucked Grace into bed. "Kindness makes the whole world better," he said. Grace hugged Coco and smiled.
