Jae, Taemin, and the Starlight Drawing
The people we love stay bright in our hearts, like stars that shine forever.
Jae and Taemin sat by the window with Daddy. Outside, the stars were coming out. “Mommy loved the stars,” Daddy said softly.
Taemin held Daddy's hand. “I miss Mommy,” he whispered. Jae nodded, eyes full of tears.
“Mommy has gone to heaven,” Daddy said. “But she is always with us, like the light from the stars.” The children looked up at the night sky.
A soft glow appeared at the window. A tiny space alien floated in! “Hello,” said Rex. “I came from the stars to help you.”
Rex smiled at them. “Let's remember the happy times,” Rex said. “That's how love stays bright.” Jae and Taemin held hands with their new friend.
“We drew pictures with Mommy,” Jae said. Rex touched a sketchbook, and it glowed. The pages filled with drawings of flowers, suns, and hearts.
“We went to the park!” Taemin said. Rex waved a hand, and they saw a memory: swings, slides, and Mommy pushing them high into the sky.
“And the beach!” Jae added. Rex showed them building sandcastles, splashing in waves, and laughing together under the bright sun.
“All these memories are treasures,” Rex said. “They live inside your hearts forever.” Jae and Taemin felt a warm glow in their chests.
Daddy came back and hugged them both. “It's okay to be sad,” he said. “I miss Mommy too. But we can be brave together.”
Jae looked at Taemin. Taemin looked at Jae. “Goodbye, Mommy,” they said together, looking up at the brightest star. “We love you always.”
Rex gave them each a tiny silver star to keep. “You were so brave,” Rex said. And together, the family smiled at the stars above.
